Well definitely the first thing I ever remember watching was Churchills funeral in 1965. I was 5 years old and remember the boat along the Thames and then his coffin put on the train to go to his final resting place. Vivid first memory.
Then the 1966 FA Cup Final Everton v Sheff Wednesday. The guy who ran on the pitch and was rugby tackled by a couple of coppers. Sheff Wed going 2 up before Mike Trebilcock led the fight back.
And then of course the World Cup Final. As a 6 year old then getting very nervous going into the last minute and then it happened. Something that could have had a huge traumatic effect on my whole life. Wolfgang Weber equalised in the 90th minute to seemingly snatch the world cup away. I balled my eyes out and didnt emerge from my sulk until the Russian linesman signalled a goal for Geoff Hursts bar breaking swivel shot.
