Yes there seems to be an unnecessary anxiety circulating in this thread over this signing - this is what this Club does to you. Think irrational thoughts and conspiracies at every turn. Agents lurking in dark corners ready to pounce and whisk Roberts off to Southern lands.

I still 'love' the fact that a player actually turned around because of busy traffic

I would say that's a great example of 'heart not in it'.....not the kinda bloke you want in the trenches and definitely not one you'd take to the moon

Boro actually had a deal in place to continue the loan from last year but City wanted to wait until the window closed. Also the lads agent was busy with the window closing.

Particularly like the fact that AV was trying to make out this was a perfectly normal reason for us missing out on a signing and "traffic" was a key factor we were missing out on signings compared to other clubs
