West Ham selling their kit without sponsor

I think you do buy the Boro shirts don't you. But should those that buy have the biggest say in this?
Morally we shouldn’t be selling shirts for U18s with a gambling sponsor on the front. Then if we have a shirt without a sponsor then surely the over 18s should have that option too. It’s not a binary on or off choice here.. all fans should have the option.

We shouldn’t be paying extra for it either.

Imagine the outcry on here if Boro offered two “different” home shirts for sale, not to mention charging more for less so to speak (no sponsor). Be hell on.

If Boro produced shirts for sale minus sponsors would you buy one?
I will start a new thread.
In the season we had no sponsor with that beautiful shirt.. how many asked to put eggy john’s electronic components on the front or mad mike’s helter skelter hire.. or whatever we had on that season. Not many I bet.. if any!

Have you seen the popularity of the blackout kits? (We’ll get ours in 30 years time when someone Compketley out of touch decides it will be just what the kids want to go for!

We are so far behind, so out of step it is embarrassing!

Because the sponsor wouldn't contribute?
Although I'm not sure how the sponsorship contract actually works with regard to selling shirts without their name on.
They sponsor the teams shirts, the fans are not contractually obligated to buy gear with the sponsors logo plasterers all over them.

I know the kit man added the UNIBET to the coaching staff and player‘s training gear last season, so it does happen. Maybe the training kit is generally unsponsored, but either way it wouldn’t be difficult for Errea, or any other club manufacturer, to produce a certain number of kits without the sponsor. In fact It will actually be easier and quicker.

the kit man added unibet to the training gear? surely it was a financial decision? there is no way the sponsors could stop the club from selling sponsorless shirts.

Yeah I remember seeing a video on social media of him printing the training gear up.

Other clubs clearly sell sponsorless shirts, so I’m sure we could do it. The sponsors want exposure from matches on TV, online and in newspapers. Surely adults walking about Benidorm wearing a shirt with their logo on isn’t the focus of their sponsorship?

I’ve seen replica shirts ‘in the back’ at the club shop without sponsors on.. I wonder if we apply them ourselves??

I’d assumed the shirts were samples or for special consideration!

So our U18s play in sponsorless shirts.. but our 12-18yo kids have to buy shirts with gambling sponsors on them?
I'd think the u18 team will have the Host & Stay sponsor on this season, the same as the kids kits. The adult kits have Unibet, but there will be loads of kids younger that 18 who have a small adults shirt with the Unibet sponsor on. Doesn't quite sit right does it.
