In at 2 this aftie....this first 4 rounds will only last 1 and a half hours at a time.
Bit the bullet and ordered me a wig last night.
So let's do this
XX
You can handle it Legz. I had my lung operation at South Tees JCUH and the chemo at NTUH, it was quite a good community spirited atmosphere. The wife went with me and we used to have a really laid back time all sat together in circles yapping on and talking about the weather. Marvellous humans involved fantastic thing that our NHS is.
I had tablets and Chemo infusion at the hospital, and for 3 days afterwards I had steroids I took at home. Then they gave me one weeks rest as its needed. The following week I had tablets only at the hospital (steel ball bearing 3 different sizes) on the 3rd week.
I repeated this over a 12 week cycle. It does the job and that's all that matters. Give yourself a chance to rest, sleep.
Best Wishes
Go on girl, I’ll look forward to that Vet Christmas calendar! I find your attitude to the whole thing so very encouraging. Make sure you rest up afterwards x
Good luck matey. Screw the wig follow my lead, wear a cap 24x7, it takes 10 years off you, or you like a t*t. You are a very strong woman to even post about it.
All done...went well...only an hr....nurse has to stay with me for these 1st 4 as they have to push drugs through so nice cuppa and a chat. More drugs than Boots bought home to help cope/stop any side effects....just gonna take it easy for the next few days now.
Thank you all again for the support guys and girls
My dad became a big aficionado of the reflexology massage they offered when he underwent chemo. Maybe have try of that too. All the very best of wishes.
