We were beaten by one goal away

No we have recruited 12 players and all of our buys m are UNPROVEN at this level he’ll most are even unproven in this country.

THRY might come good but they might also not so it’s a huge gamble.
That’s the lay of the land isn’t it? How many on here wanted something similar to the Brentford model? We are changing tac to become a more sustainable football club.

It will be up and down using the model we are. Enjoy the ride.

the score line flatters us. They could have been out of sight at half time and our goal should have been ruled offside. All small margins. You can try and put whatever slant you like on it but we're sinking without a hope

Fans don’t see the bigger picture, we’ve recruited 12 new players and fans expect instant success but that is very rare.

We have had a huge turnover of players and have brought in a lot of potential. Rather than getting on their backs we should be encouraging them to realise that potential rather than calling them clueless or can’t play in this division.

We aren’t going down and we aren’t going up, this is a process.
So you can sign any players from any level and as long as the fans backing remains resolute, there's nothing to worry about?

Can you guarantee we'll not go down? Whilst it is unlikely I suppose, I've seen absolutely nothing to suggest we've got enough goals in us, and definitely not enough clean sheets to get out of the bottom three for the foreseeable future. The manager sees absolutely nothing wrong with the tactics and application it seems and isn't animated or making changes when things are against us.

I've got to be honest, I'm pretty worried.

I think even the most confident of fan has to start worrying now. Its a mirror image of last season.

That’s a bold statement “we aren’t going down” what makes you confident of that?

Our form very much suggests otherwise!!
Form changes though.

I think we are crap but probably not quite crap enough to stay this crap all season. There’s 40 games left. I think we’d be just about okay even in a worst case scenario and even if we stick with Carrick all season.

Sadly, the Championship is a bit of a crap shoot. We almost “won” last season. Might not this season (without a bit of miracle). Who knows next season might be amazing. Doesn’t seem like something we can force though unless Gibson sells the club to someone richer with loads of new ideas.

But it isn’t is it? This is much worse and at least last season we could point to having been unlucky….conceding late goals etc…..this season we haven’t put in a decent performance bar perhaps Huddersfield at home and even then we could have as likely lost as won.

I see the media team rep (oops sorry) club apologist is back with the positive spin messages again 🥱
Obviously we don’t agree on the matter but maybe debate with me rather than take to snide posts, it’s not a nice look.

Every other poster seems capable of posting opinions and debating the football.

I’m a boro fan albeit a glass half full fan and so not work for the club in any way. I see this as a season of transition with the players we've brought in and the amount of change, I’m confident in the next 3-5 seasons we will be all the better for the change in tactics.

We’re crap but we’ll improve. Just my opinion.
Could we get worse - results wise no.

We played some decent stuff after going 2-0 down, and if it were not for woeful finishing and poor final ball/making wrong decisions we could have come away with a draw.

BUT

CM is a huge worry. The amount of times they went defence to attack straight through the middle was shocking. I'd argue 70% of our problems are caused by CM being all over the shop off the ball. Get this tightened, I think we'll turn the corner (to mid table). Daft thing is, a lot of posters highlighted the need for a CDM destroyer type player .....and we never bothered. Just got unproven tippy tappy attacking types, all much of a muchness.

Exactly as no one knows if these are good enough or not including carick

We are built on sand

How many will latte lath get… I have no idea

Players with potential and projects people keep posting.....ffs who saw potential in this squad? Wants to get himself to Specsavers asap

This is the new world isn’t it.

It was just a goal away from home……

Like …..Woodgate’s ‘the league table does lie’

And Ten Haag today saying all the games Man U have lost so far they could have won

I think Brendan Rogers started it

I didn’t name you in that post, but you seem to have picked the hat up to wear, funny that.

Anyway, I like to debate with honest people, whether I agree with them or not. Sorry if my post touched a nerve and upset you, your posting is rather translucent though, your apologist posts come across as just that. I don’t appreciate anyone that sets out to deceive or hoodwink from the reality of any situation, anyway, you’re always busier after a defeat, so I’ll leave you to carry on with your business. Top tip, you can always put me on ignore or merely ignore my playful musings, thank me later. Enjoy your evening.
