We had an awful season last season and almost paid the price and we are arguably weaker now.

I think we'll get Ben Gibson back, so we're probably set there.
I'm happy with right back.

I still think that we need a new left back.

Possibly need a defensive midfielder, Warnock clearly thinks so.

We need another striker and one or two more attacking players.

There lies the irony, we can’t get anyone to sign on the dotted line. Hence why there is justifiable concern. As opposed to your glib comments on these matters

We are missing Friend, Shotton and Roberts from the end of last season - Ayala and Gestede had gone, Clayton and Morrison and the French Loanee were hardly used. Nmecha did nothing. We averaged 1.5 pts per game under Warnock.

We do need 5 new players (including loans).

Allow posters to raise their concerns without challenging their right to do so. The squad, size of it, is of concern to the majority of posters. You trying to trivialise views on this is petty - but hey ho if that is what motivates you...

I do allow them, I don’t have any admin rights do I? I can challenge it though, can’t I?

The other day you said you didn't want us to sign Yaya, and that you wanted Graham Kavanagh's 16 year old kid to play. So you don't want us to sign players but you do want to moan about it. And you said I was glib!

We’ve only missed out on multiple signings cos the media says we have. We may not have been in for any of them. It’ll be fine.

If we haven't been in for any of those players we have supposedly missed out wtf have we been doing since the season ended.

NW has his work cutout in the first few weeks of the season-- working with a squad that has been reshaped over the past two seasons. I'm optimistic that NW can bring in new players to strengthen those areas that are in need of strengthening but as everyone knows we don't have the luxury of being near London or umbrella payments-- we just need to get on with it and get the young players to step up.

There's over a month to go before he window closes.
We don't have money to spend until clubs buy from us and relax our wage bill.
I think a lot of players will join us before he window closes. 5 good loans will come for the season and a few signings.
Of course it would be better to have them in before the season starts, but this will be about timing; there is a lot of brinkmanship going on; wage expectation readjustment; fees to settle down in the new world.
I am reasonably confident that Warnock will get the best his budget will allow and we will be a stronger squad and a healthier club than last season.

I fully understand those starting to fret, but I still have confidence.

With the squad we finished the season with I thought there would be an outside chance of challenging for the last playoff spot.
With the current squad I think he will do well to finish in the top 12.
We really need a couple of decent signings to get any better than that.
I do believe we have a really good manager who can squeeze the best out of the current players but recruitment so far will not give him the chance to push too far up the league table.

Its bewildering, but hopefully behind closed doors, Neil and his staff will be twisting arms, breaking fingers, treading on toes and grabbing people by the ears to get them through the gate before the big kick - off:mad:(y)(y)
UTMB!

Many posters are critical of us overpaying for players in the past and the same posters are also critical that we haven’t made quick signings this window, although I would have liked to have added a couple more by now I’m prepared to accept that the club will no longer pay premiums to sign players and look at the best within budget that might mean waiting until late in the window to achieve the best value.

Not having Woodgate in charge is probably worth an extra 10 points immediately.

We're miles away from being a promotion candidate but I don't see us being under any threat of relegation with Warnock in charge.
