We had an awful season last season and almost paid the price and we are arguably weaker now.

I'd think we're stronger now.

Clearly not man for man, but I'd back NW to do better with this squad than JW did with last season's squad.

That said, business is clearly not finished yet, but as ever I'm more interested in good signings than fast signings.

We’ve only missed out on multiple signings cos the media says we have. We may not have been in for any of them. It’ll be fine.

Grant Hall and Warnock have both openly said that we've missed out on signings.

Plus Warnock originally wanted 7-8 players in, that has now been revised down, and he said was hoping for another by the end of the week when we signed Grant Hall a month ago.

Why are you all worrying about stuff thats entirely out of your control?

We sign who we sign! The bloke in charge clearly knows what he's doing, so leave it to him to do his job.

Bizarre comment to make.
Everything about Middlesbrough is outside of our control, including the success.

Annoys me when fans come out with stuff like that ‘what’s there to worry about’ ‘don’t be concerned’ of course it is worrying. We have signed 1 player and lost a good few and we were awful the majority of last season. Warnock is clearly a huge positive but even he would struggle to have us anything but mid table with the current squad it isn’t deep enough at all. We need 5 or 6 players in before I stop worrying but I am grateful it’s Warnock who’s here. Just wish we as a club were better at getting deals over the line.

Warnock's points return, albeit over a relatively short spell of games, wasn't far from a play-off place when taken over a full season.

I'm not sure whether the squad now is that much weaker than the one he had at his disposal then; did any of those who have left actually feature? Plus he's added a solid centre half, who is a natural leader too.

So I don't but the theory that its a squad with relegation written on it - its a decent squad that hugely underachieved last season.

atypical, its a message board fo fans to air their views- I would have thought this was obvious! As such, concerns, opinions about our transfer business- or lack of it- are bound to be central in people’s thoughts.

By merely posting them won’t change anything- but as Neil Warnock tends to view them he will get a feel of the exasperation a few fans have. And, I suspect, he would agree with such sentiments

I wasn't expecting more than midtable.
Would midtable worry you?

I am worried Cos I want to be a top 6 team I don’t want mid table and neither does Warnock as he wouldn’t of Came otherwise, sorry yes if we don’t get anyone else in the thought of mid table or worse does worry me yes. We need players in, Gibson and Bausor need to start getting deals done.

Friend played every single game.
Roberts played in 6 of the 8 games.

Could argue Friend's role under Warnock has been replaced by Hall, but then we've lost Shotton and Moukoudi too.

Roberts has not been replaced.

He has control over it, he's paid to worry about it.

Indeed, I'm one of those airing their views.

That's a lot more bizarre than my comment.

Not really.

Both are daft comments that don't hold up to scrutiny.

A bad transfer window can make or break a season, it's entirely reasonable for fans to worry that their club's transfers are going badly.

We have the best manager we could have got.

He will sign the best players he can get.
