Yeh that’s a foul.

The fact he makes a meal and dives shouldn’t affect the decision but it probably does have a bearing on the referees decision.

I’d be pișsed if we didn’t get a foul for that, if it was us.

Why would the Hull player pull at Borges from in front of him? To help him keep up?

First view I though it was a naked on red , replays I thought he was shirt pulling just as much so I got the decision

Not only did he dive, but he dived in the wrong chuffing direction the big daft clart. Borges pulls him backwards and he dives forwards!

We do need to work on our discipline a bit. It has cost us points already this season.

Mcgree got away with an awful challenge midweek and was very fortunate not see red too (managed to crock himself in the process).

You should see Sunderland and Sheff Utds discipline.

We’re actually ok in that regard.

It could/should have been a red for Borges. He struggled a few times today. Maybe physically not 100% being ill last week then three games in 7 days.

It was a foul and a sending off. Initially Borges pulls him back and he stays on his feet. He then has a tug at his shirt and the Hull player does fling himself to the floor, but he did it to say to the ref "Look I'm being fouled here".

We got away with one but then the Blackburn goal should have been ruled out for offside, so you win some you lose some.

Live at the game I thought dive. Couldn't see the shirt pull from where I was sitting. Similar view to the assistant.

After seeing that replay it's a foul and should have been a red.

Borges can be a bit of a liability sometimes. His lack of pace can catch him out. Could have easily given a foul today and at least a yellow card.

I think McGree got away with one on Wednesday.

As shirt tugs go it was pretty blatant. I really dont know how you can't see there wasn't. If he got a card for that we would have had no complaints IMO. Thankfully the ref agreed with you.

It was definitely in the 'seen them given' bracket. I thought it looked nailed on in the replay. I'd say he would have been sent off more times than not.

Also the Azaz handball at 2-1. Again you'd say 'seen them given'. It's swings and roundabouts as We lost on Wednesday to a goal well offside.

Then again McGree was lucky not to see red against Blackburn. So a few things are going out way at the moment.

It was blatant, but no calls for VAR tonight

I have not seen the tackle. So I cannot really comment on it.

However, if it deserved to be a red card then I feel he should have been sent off. That would have been the right decision.

No it’s not he’s holding borges arm at the same time then let’s go first and throws himself on the floor to make it look like he’s fouled, it’s one of those where they are both doing it so refs have been told to ignore.

Ref probably had a clearer view of Pedro’s left arm than the camera angle in the footage. He looked to be pushing and leaning into Borges, who took a handful of his shirt at the same time.

Neither focused on the ball. Both at it imho.

Definitely a red imo. What saved Borges was he had let go of the Hull players shirt who THEN decided to throw himself to the floor. Ref saw the "tussling" as a bit of 50/50.....it wasn't. Borges a lucky boy yesterday.

The handballs? Seen them all given, may have been in the PL/VAR. But tbh thought the ref got all the decisions correct - Azaz was definitely trying to get his hand away from the ball which is the new ruling?

In the premier league would have been a definite red but I suspect the ref just seen the blatant dive and decided against. Thank the lord we haven’t got VAR - even though it cost us a point against Blackburn

With var it's given as a foul and yellow, I seem to recall the keeper was getting there.

In the championship that kind of "wrestling" is rarely given when both players are at it, which is how it should be.

It was a game we bossed and could have won by more. Easy 3 points, take a break and come back next week for another three points and some debate.

I have yet to see anything from Borges to indicate he could be a solution.
Wins very little in a tackle, gives next to nothing going forward and is regularly caught out of position without the pace to recover.
Bangura was the answer but, the routine jinx got him.

Just because there is some tussling it doesn't have to be a foul. He tried it on and the ref was having none of it. Good decision for once.

Borges had a handful of the lads shirt, regardless of how easy he goes down it has to be a red

I think the way their player threw himself to the floor swayed the ref.

his shirt was held but obviously tripped over his own boot laces.. flouncing yourself to the floor like a sad sack, not a good look..
