The first priority is to secure what we have.. the guys on loan and Akpom. Then build on what we have. Everyone is getting excited and that’s understandable but the prem is a big leap.. hopefully we can keep as much of the team together as we can.

I don’t think that’s necessarily the case.. we do need to bring in the right players tho.

We would need a GK, a RB, a CB, Giles, a CDM, a LW and a CF as an absolute minimum. we would need to spend on average 10m on those each. 30m is pittance these days.

The good news is that we seem to have massively improved our recruiting and we could loan two or three players and spend on younger players with resale value. We can also from an FFP perspective sign players on 4 year contracts so spending 120m would only show 30m on FFP for the next 4 years. 130m spent well would give us a chance of a decent season and a financial reset as a club.

Some good players in there!

Am pretty sure we exercised a 1 year extension so Chuba is with the club till summer 2024.
 
I wouldn't mind us going for Ryan Kent, if we go up. Out of contract in the summer probably wants a PL move. Burnley already interested I see.

If we stay in the championship we need to be better than..
West Ham, Leeds & Southampton

If we get promoted we need to be better than..
Bournemouth, Burnley & Luton Town
