We can’t question Carrick again

Why is it after 1 loss the worlds ending and after 1 win Carrick is a genius? We were brilliant today and Carrick got it spot on but he’s also gotten completely wrong multiple times this season. I rate him but we can and should question him when it’s needed, overall I think he has the potential to be one of our best managers but it doesn’t mean I agree with everything he does, or that he always gets it right (he doesn’t)

He could have played that same team/formation at Preston on Wednesday and would probably have got same result as today.
Or does ego not allow that as we are “ a far better team” than Preston apparently.

Even Pep gets it wrong sometimes and don't forget there's another team up against you, not a set of figures in a spreadsheet.
Carrick is clearly talented and our players are inconsistent. It'd be beyond boring if we just went out and demolished teams.

That comment alone shows you are just an angry keyboard warrior who has to be right, sad.
Ah okay of course it does because I’ve expressed my opinion it means I have to be right. I replied to a comment that said we shouldn’t question Carrick ever again, which borders on delusion
Also a keyboard warrior by definition is someone who hides behind a keyboard, I havent called anybody any nasty names or been aggressive. However seeing as you want to chuck names at me and label me “an angry keyboard warrior” it seems as though you are the one being an angry keyboard warrior, only using the facade of passive aggressiveness to hide behind. I’ll happily say anything I say on here in person. Bet you can’t say the same, **** house

I'd say you have to question the squad psychologically as well. When we are expected to win, or need to, they rarely show up (opposition tactics obviously play into this too), we often seem to concede after scoring and more regularly than you'd hope concede two in quick succession.

When there's no pressure or expectation we often seem to be able to dig in and get a result, or put a performance in beyond what's expected.

It seems to happen more than just random football stuff evening itself out, and goes back a while over multiple managers.

Or it could just be confirmation bias and I've had a few......

You could be spot on with it being a psychological thing, you have to wonder how much the pressure of expectation gets to a player. I’ve never really looked into it but I’d assume we have a sports psychologist working at the club but maybe not

Carrick is a genius.
He even has a clothing brand named after him — St Michael.
In the Bible, Michael is an arch-angel and battles until victorious over Satan.
His name also means "Gift from God", so better get as much out of him, before he goes forth and leaves us......

Michael wasnt an arch angel though he is described as such in English translations of the Hebrew bible. He was a seraphim the second highest ranked angel after cherubs. Satan is described as a cherub in ezekiel.

Interestingly enough arch Angel is the lowest rank of angel.

St Michael clothing has nothing to do with divinity and they are not a patch on George by Asda.

I've met some high-rankers with enough bird-schit on their shoulders to cover their arms.........and they certainly wouldn't manage our team.
It's the lower ranks who do the hard work.
High rankers just......
Anyway. What's it's got to do with you?

I would get him on a longer term contract now - he’s a work in progress, we have to stick with him i think, and hopefully he will develop into a very good manger with us. He’s made plenty of mistakes, but I’ve seen enough to think he can be the real deal. MC is still very much a rookie manger, just 18 months into his career, we have to be patient with him. I think he’ll get us up - but not till next season.
