About time. We've relied too much on people being decent and as shown above, the actions of one selfish person led to everyone suffering restrictions, let alone those who were infected as a result and could face major health issues.People who may have coronavirus will be required to self-isolate by law - with those who refuse facing fines of up to £10,000 in England.
Ministers are toughening up their stance by making the current guidance a legal requirement in a bid to try and prevent a second spike of COVID-19 ballooning across the UK and a potential second national lockdown.
This is the problem, too many people looking for a loop hole to get round self isolation instead of using their heads and keeping everyone safe. Like you point out, a good solicitor will have dismissed in no time.Tried to get a test, couldn’t, didn’t realise I had Covid etc etc.
Case dismissed.

And we all know that's not going to happen - did you see the young lad who had been asked to go to Northern Ireland for a test? Many still can't get access to tests, that's a real problem, they're not copping out. There's so many different symptoms plus asymptomatic cases, who knows whether they have it or not without vigorous and regular testing.
Whilst I agree, there’s still no excuse for being irresponsible. Saying that you are frustrated and annoyed isn‘t justification for putting other people‘s lives at risk. It’s the perfect storm. People have had enough of the restrictions and shambles of a government. One minute they are putting more restrictions on people’s freedoms the next they are having to apologies or explain why testing is such a shambles. This comes at the same time as they are ending the furlough scheme and telling people they can’t mix with other households but have to go and sit in an office with loads of people for work. People are looking for loopholes because they are frustrated and annoyed. The harder they crackdown the more likely their will be civil unrest.
