Watmore scores for Millwall!

Both sides were awful. I only watched in the hope of seeing the Mackems lose. Even their commentary team were complaining that they were going to have to suffer 7 minutes of added time.
 
Terrific result. I fully understand why we let Watmore go. More so the 2 year deal was better for his family and the security it brings.

Yet... I'd rather have had him ahead of Silvera or Greenwood anyday. I imagine we've paid more/similar in loan fees and wages to Greenwood compered to what we received for Watmore.

Jokes aside. In the months we've not had a CF and plodded on with Silvera and Greenwood. He'd have been a far better option. If nothing else works his socks off with probably similar finishing ability.

Again it's pretty irrelevant. The move and contract were far better for him and his family. So fully understand it (like Crooks).
 
always thought he was a very good player with the right attitude, shame he had so many injuries early on in his career.. the club knows how it needs to spend its money though I thought allowing him to leave was fair on him though a little short sighted by us - for what he gives to the team - maybe he wanted more game time & a longer contract.
