Mine has increased by 12% for the year. Anyone else in the same boat with Northumbrian Water??
Doubt anyone even finds out about that too they move inI'm thinking about going for a meter. Martin Lewis reckons I would be about £30 a month better off in a 4 bed det with only me and the Mrs in it these days.
I just wondered if we were to sell if it might put a big family off .
Very unlikely. A 4 bed detached is going to set a family back a couple of hundred grand. They aren't going to quibble about an extra tenner a month.I'm thinking about going for a meter. Once installed, they are never removed. You can always request the meter is removed if you are not seeing the savings
You’re both rightI think it depends on where you live, but I believe if you get one fitted and you dont see the savings you can request it is removed as long as you do this within 12 months. If you move into a house where one is already installed, it think you are correct and you cant get it removed.
I believe it is two years for you to see the savings and ask to go back to Water Rates but if you do they don't remove the meter, they just stop reading it.I think it depends on where you live, but I believe if you get one fitted and you dont see the savings you can request it is removed as long as you do this within 12 months. Correct. Should've read the rest of the thread before posting. You’re both right
you have 2 years to decide if one gets fitted but they don’t remove it, they just revert you unmetered. The next resident then gets the meter without option (for NWL anyway)
