Watching the Boro on smart TV

Have recently purchased a new TCL smart tv. Thought i would be able to 'chromecast' the game on the weekend using the Boro app from my phone (Xiaomi Mi 3) or directly from the media player on clubs site but the media player didn't give me that option for some reason. I then tried linking my phone to the TV and then watching it through the browser but it was super slow. Ended up watching the match on my Macbook as usual. Is apple TV the way to go via my Macbook?

Never managed to get the app to cast and on an Android box you soon find that the resolution is much worse than through a browser.

It apparently doesnt have a browser built in but you can add one. Some info.

or this might be what you want

Thanks very much for that. I'll take a look later and report back

I think thats the same as "chromecast". Thats what i ended up doing was mirroring my phone but it was just too slow and the picture quality was pretty bad too.
Screen mirroring is most decidedly not the same as Chromecast. When you use screen mirroring, only your phone is connected to the internet and you can't use your phone for anything else.

When you cast something to your TV using an attached (or built-in) Chromecast then the Chromecast establishes its own connection to the internet content you're viewing, at which point it works independently of your phone.

Once the Chromecast connection is made, you can use your phone for other things - or even switch it off.*

*In almost all cases - it's not true for the Mobdro app, for some strange reason.

Not sure if you got a fix, but the other option could be HDMI from the MacBook?
I was thinking of mentioning that but as I'm not familiar with MacBooks, I didn't know if they had an HDMI output.

Whenever I want to watch anything from the Boro website, I usually do so by connecting my Windows 10 laptop to the TV via HDMI cable.

I can use Chromecast from my Android phone or tablet but I find the HDMI cable gives better reliability and picture quality.

With a Mac book you would need a USB-C to hDMI adapter to do that

My MacBook does have an HDMI port but when i connect it to my TV it just freaks out and switches between multiple windows on my computer but nothing happens on the TV.

I am using an android phone so not sure where to access screen mirroring... Is that the same as Screen Cast?

Just followed this and ive been able to download and install chrome on my TV. Unfortunately i can't search anything as I can't access the search bar with the TV remote control. Ive tried using a wireless mouse from the computer but that doesn't work either.
