Warnock staying next season

Only downer for me was that in the press conference he had more or less given up on this season to get in the play offs. Probably realistic but we shouldn't be giving up on this season just yet.
Who knows a run of 4 or consecutive wins and we will be in with a shout.
In the last few press conferences he hasn't come far short of calling our strike force useless. BA has no chance of getting a contract even if he took zero wages.

This 20 goal a season striker does not really exist at a price we could probably afford. And we have have had one attelp with CA. And look how that turned out.
Toney from Brentford might be gettable if the miss promotion, but that would be beyond the wildest dreams.
Also wouldn't mind Callum Wilson if they got relegated

I agree, but a further years stability and building a squad far stronger than he inherited will give us time to put further plans in place

Totally agree, I'm happy he's staying for sure, its one of the best decisions we've made in some time. No arguing with that.

My point is if you're trusting Warnock to provide the blueprint, don't rip it up in 12 months and pretend we want to play over lapping full bakcs and possession based football where we build from the back, have some continuity. As since Karanka we have had 4 completely different managers with different ways of playing, finally we've got one that for the most part seems to work, so we should be planning to build on that.

Yeh exactly, if we go from Warnock to a Monk again we might as well not bother. Might as well accept Burnley are our blue print now, let's not try and pretend to be leeds or norwich.
