Warnock negative

I’ve not seen him look so down and angry as he did in that brief post match interview.

really broke his record of supporting the players, I wonder why?
with all the support and coaching and love and cuddles.. there has to be a point where you have to start producing.

38 goals scored this season which leaves us above only Luton, Forest, Derby, Coventry, Birmingham, Sheffield & Wycombe

Assombalonga, Fletcher, Akpom, Watmore, Bolasie, Kebano, Mendez-Laing, Johnson, Spence

it doesn't read like we should be in the bottom 8 of the championship in goals scored.

all the excuses in the world, bad leg, tired, the ref was dreadful, got kicked in the goolies, left my boot out in the rain gaffa.. it doesn't cover the whole season

The selection was weird. It was a game tailor-made for Morsy. He is the grafter, the nasty **** who nobody wants to play against. I was very surprised our grittiest midfielder was sat on his 'arris while Jed Wallace ran the first half for Millwall. Fisher is the perfect fit for a game like that as well, he's a scrapper. A very dogged player. I don't think Wallace, or Malone, would've enjoyed the freedom they did had Fisher been down our right-hand side. Was he injured though?

Once you're a goal down to them it was always going to be a nightmare. I thought Sav did well when he came on, Tav was head and shoulders above anything else on the field until he went off... the two centre backs and Bola were pretty good as usual. But Akpom, Bolasie, Howson, McNair, Spence and Johnson were terrible to a man. The worst they've been in ages. It's hard enough to carry one or two players never mind more than half the team.

Warnock is right to have a go at the front-end of his team yesterday but he made mistakes as well. The selection is even stranger when you factor in what happened to Millwall in the week, going 2-0 up at QPR but losing 3-2. Warnock said he knew Preston would respond and start well against us because they'd lost to Wycombe last Saturday so he'd have known Millwall would've been well up for a fight yesterday. The team he picked was never going to be the sort to dig in and scrap their knackers off to keep it tight for 65-70mins, nor was it a day for quick attacking football on the grass(or hard mud) like he seemed to think it was judging by his line up.

Very frustrating all round but that's just what happens in the Championship. We'll probably win at Bournemouth and then this is all forgotten about.

We’ve scored 46 goals this season? More than Swansea and one less than Barnsley.

Fisher showed against Norwich , he can play midfield
Him and Morsy could play together , resting Howson and Saville , and putting McNair Back in defence .
Fisher should replace Spence though , as he has not performed , but neither did others as said above .
We don't look as fit as other teams .

In the first half, we were outfought and a bit outwitted and that hurt - The goal we conceeded should have never have been lost it in the half way line and its a really key challenge that in this case Spence lost. But it was not the only one we were not winning the 50/50s and were not as tight as Millwall so a couple of times Ged Wallace had freedom to lay quality passes wee never seem to get any time in the first half.

We improved when Mendez-Laing and Saville came on and actually got on top for 20 minutes and possibly should have scored. They added a bit more steel.

Bolasie is on the pitch to hurt the opposition - he's a Premier League player - where were his clever runs, did he hurt them in the first half? I am not sure he know what his role was, the same for Tav.

With hindsight we should played 443 with Tav and Boasie as wide forwards and Morsy, Howson and McNair in midfield with Bola and Fisher as conventional full backs. It would have added a bit more bite.

That key challenge Spence lost was in the middle of their half about 20 yards from their penalty area. Yes, he was caught cold by the interception from the Millwall player who played the ball to Wallace who was still in his own half. He picked the ball just as it ran in to our half where Howson came to him. He went past Howson without him even attempting a challenge and then he could not keep up with a player running with the ball. Have a go at Spence for losing the ball fine but you must see Howsons involvement, or I should say lack of involvement, in the goal conceded. I know its against board policy to have a go at Howson but he has been totally off the pace in the last few weeks.

Have another look.
