I’ve not seen him look so down and angry as he did in that brief post match interview.

really broke his record of supporting the players, I wonder why?
 
Maybe the players perform well in training but then don't show up when it counts. Why else would Akpom start
 
He was complaining about lack of effort wasn‘t he?

And Millwall looked a yard faster and sharper yesterday.

He maybe thought he had driven a better work ethic into the squad but had his eyes opened yesterday that one or two of the basics have not yet been resolved.

He should have been sent off in the previous match in a display of ill discipline, was rightly hooked at half time and the guy who replaced him had scored.

Isn't that his game he is always going to be on a tightrope. Yes he was hooked at half time but that was no reason not to play him yesterday. Surely we needed his "qualities" more yesterday away at Millwall. There was no bite in the midfield at all. McNair was none existant, Howson woeful as he has been for a few games now.

Should not have played then or did he want to get game time so he could go to Ireland squad. I can understand that its his country but we are the ones paying his wages. Hopefully not but only McNair will know the answer to that.

Tavernier deserved to start, McNair deserved to start.

Rightly or wrongly, Howson does not get dropped even when he has stinkers, and he's had a few this season.

I agree that McNair was poor yesterday, but he was not poor in midweek and I can understand why Morsy wasn't playing.

It wouldn't surprise me if they decided early on to plan for Morsy not starting, given there was the possibility of a retrospective ban that only went away the day before the match.

Possibly. Thats a thought nobody has touched upon.

Of course Tav needs to start regardless of whether Morsy was hooked he should be on the pitch when fit. It was a strange substitution yesterday when he was injured. Tav for Saville when I would have thought Kebano or Watmore. Maybe though he already knew he was making the other changes at H.T.

That’s sort of my thinking , maybe he had no choice if he wanted to travel.
Back to Warnock, it seems to be such a changed reaction compared to his usual positiveness ??

I think he's probably aware that it would take a near perfect run for us to get in the play-offs now, and I don't think Spence, Bolasie or Akpom will be in his ideal starting 11s next season.

I wouldn't be surprised if Spence was sold, and we all know Bolasie is going somewhere else.

He's barely kept a lid on his criticism of our forwards even when we were still in with a good chance, so the filter is probably off now we don't.
