Thought we were quite bright early doors...... could have had two in the last 10 mins......the new lds need a bit more game time to get up to speed,,,,,,, the ball hit Hally so very unlucky there

But the referee's ineptitude did cost us today, and we are talking about today. We weren't good enough don't get me wrong, but where the referee got that free kick from in the run up to their first goal I've no idea. He was appalling from the first whistle.
 
Does not matter where he got the free kick from, we still need to defend it.

Absolutely shocking at the back, only Dael Fry is worthy of his shirt in that back 4.

I’ll be honest, apart from that incident (which was pretty crucial, granted) there weren’t too many other occasions that I found myself shouting at the ref. Maybe it’s a reflection if the poor quality of championship refereeing but I didn’t really notice him that much today.
 
He looked a bit of a haunted (or was it hunted) man in his post match interview. Grumpy and defensive body language like he was ready to kick off. I could be wrong but he seemed to be fearing the worst.

Neither of our CBs are very vocal or seem to organise the defence around them.

For their first the entire defence have switched off & a couple have their back to the ball when the freekick is taken. It is an easy ball into the body of the CF 12 yards out, where is the cover, who is putting pressure on from the front? Fry's 1 on 1 and Hall rushes over & runs straight past them both, get f***ing stuck in, worry about 'your man' when the ball goes to him ffs!

Hall has to be dropped after that 'performance', get McNair or Bamba in they can't do any worse.

Doesnt matter. Wasnt like we were switched on, organised and ready to defend a free kick closer to the centre circle than our box

He was, but we've got to do better too, we know what this league is like, we know just how bad the referees are, we have to take it out of their hands by playing better. This is the championship not the champions league, effort and competence takes you a long way, I'm seeing the effort but....
