Wales Back in Full Lockdown From Friday

It did. Then they stupidly opened up to people from across the continent for life saving holidays.

A neverending cycle of lockdowns that will push 120 million extra people into extreme poverty around the world. I suppose it will give you even more people to ‘save’ and another stick to beat the Tories with. Win win for you?

What do you actually do for work Bear?

As I said, I'm happy to pay for it, but not for the £billions going into the pockets of government cronies. I also was part of the generation that paid back the huge debt to the Americans for WW2. That's life.

Come on then Bear, what's your reasoning for Peru's figures? Toughest lockdown on the whole planet, worst death rate.

Interesting explanation in link. Just seeing pictures of people queuing at banks in lockdown shows it is a different social environment to most of the world.

You need to define why it is the toughest, and when it was introduced, were those measures after the peak?

It could be down to poor baseline health, low quality healthcare, could be altitude playing an issue with a respiratory condition, could be poor air quality in Lima -- I'm spitballing here, I don't know, but it's clear that lockdown alone isn't enough, it needs to be part of a multipronged strategy for prolonged, sustained reduction in cases and deaths.

That long tough lockdown worked brilliantly in Spain. Oh wait.

Please don't talk 5hit about something you obviously know nothing about.

Madrid, and to a lesser extent Catalonia, are the only areas in Spain with massively increasing cases, and that's because a) the local politicians there are playing silly bu99ers with the national government, and b) selfish to55ers in those areas, mainly the 20-40 age group, decided to ignore distancing and mask wearing advice because it didn't suit their agenda - sound familiar ?

Good for you and you will need to. With the pay cut I’ve taken to keep my job I’ll pay even less tax this year than last. Be a good bloke and please pay it off so future generations don’t have to, you are more than happy to and want to make the decision for them after all.

You're attacking the wrong 'enemy'. Us mugs are in this together whilst the richest billionaires increased their wealth by over 30% since March.

Regardless of who picks up the tab (and it won’t be billionaires) you will never convince me that making millions of people un employed, thousands homeless, pushing 110 million people around the world into extreme poverty and saddling future generations that haven’t even been born yet with massive debt is acceptable, especially when it’s done through choice and isn’t inevitable. Don’t worry about this mug, I did quite well out the financial crash by buying and selling property and I’ll just do the same again.

So when do you think the English National lockdown will happen, I would have thought they would have planned around this half term week for a circuit break.

Gove and Jenrick have been pretty clear - they don’t think it is right for us to have a ‘circuit breaker’

On that basis - next week

It can't be a full lock down if the football goes ahead.

A full lock down is essential food/drink and medicines only - like we had in April.
