Vote Labour and Teesworks Could be the Making of Teesside - So Says Steve Gibson

I didn’t abuse you, I called you out at the time because you lied
I will even tell you when it was
23 April, St George’s day 2023
You posted a picture claiming you had taken it while out on your ‘St Georges day walk’
Unfortunately for you , you posted a picture from the top of our road showing some fence work going on.
The picture had a clear blue sky ( it was actually grey clouds and a tad damp)
They was also a car in the photo which is only here ( or was as he has a different car now) during the week and definitely never here on a Sunday.
You lied, I proved you lied and you didn’t like it

You’re from RR aren’t you? 🙄🤣

I guess it is NOW that matters today the day before an election.
He says he supports people that work hard for the region.
But what he does know and no one can deny is how to run a hugely successful business based from Teesside. He should know what he is talking about regarding Teesworks. As surely should Paul Booth of Sabic and Teesside Uni.
Too little, and far too late

Does Gibson’s road to Damascus volte-face tie in with his previous comments about Teesworks as documented regularly in Private Eye

It doesn’t excuse what’s happened in the past though. I’m glad he’s now advocating for Labour candidates. We need rid of every single last Tory. But I just find it very uncomfortable that he openly supported Tories for so long. I mean how can you do that. He must know what they did, what they do. They have absolutely trashed the north east and large swathes of the north. They demonise, they divide. Their policies kill people. They do not care about anyone but themselves. You can’t brush it under the carpet.
Tory policies since 2010 have killed 300 thousand people. You are right, Gibson support of that regime is unforgivable.

They want shot of the airport, which has already created jobs
They want shot of Teesport which , despite what some try to claim, you can physically see the infrastructure being put in place to create jobs
If those jobs go if McEwan gets elected who is responsible?
McEwan wants to work with as well as for people. He knows he is not an industrialist so he will listen to them and will consult. It will be all be transparent. Where is that consultation now?

Woof, you need to get out and get some fresh air.

💯

Gibson wants all the stars allied so to speak - Labour government and Labour Tees Valley Mayor - he believes it will be a disaster for Teesside if he we have one and not the other.
Yeah he’s feather his own nest. Gibbo is no different to any other businessman who has to think of their own business needs.

Don’t try and endorse him as some sort of man of the Teesside people because he just isn’t. As you say he’s a very successful businessman, a ruthless one at that.

Ps I support him as our Chairman that is completely different to him getting involved in politics and trying to swap public opinion.
