Villa or Utd tickets will be an interesting test of Priority Points system

Looking at the fixtures, Man Utd play Burnley on Tuesday 8th so that would rule out the Sunday or Monday slot. I would guess if we play them it would be Friday night or Saturday lunchtime.

Ourselves and Villa play Wednesday 9th, so if we play them I would guess we would play on the Sunday to give the teams who play on Tuesday night the Saturday slots.

Either way demand is going to be very high, especially if we get Man Utd (which certainly ain't a given with the way they're playing). I've already had several messages from non-ST holders putting feelers out for tickets.

It will be interesting to see where the club set the priority points for this game.

It would be helpful if they posted a breakdown of how many fans have 200+, 190+, 180+, 170+, 160+, 150+, etc. points etc to give you an idea of where you are in the pecking order.

Villa only got 3,000 tickets, they apparently struggled to agree a price with Utd and didn't want to take 6000 - 9000 tickets at £55 for a Monday night game on TV when they would have to purchase the tickets upfront. They settled on 3,000 at £30 (Villa fans weren't happy with the allocation).

Will be interesting to see what Boro would do in that situation.
Man utd will give us 9000 tickets. We won't even need the loyalty scheme.

We'll sell out the maximum allocation no problem at all. We took 10,000 on a Wednesday night back in 2015. Every man and his dog are already clamouring for tickets.

The club is entitled to request up to 15% of capacity under competition rules.
The two clubs collectively agree pricing, given home and away fan prices are linked and the two teams share the revenue.
45% of whatever ticket price would go to Boro, so they will do the sums on forecast attendance and therefore revenue.

If United could sell out the whole stadium with just a 3k Boro allocation and at higher price, then both sides would financially be better off with the lower Boro allocation, but what a horrible way of looking at it.

If however United did not sell the 8,000 tickets Boro did not request at the higher price, which is possible for a televised match then both could end up worse off.

I'd have thought 10,000 Boro would go at reasonable price £30 for away fans in PL . The this would be a boost to a sell out for a likely televised match and that both teams would be happy with the unbudgeted revenue anyway.

I hope Gibson backs the fans for this and that the fans in return back him by turning out and selling the 10k he requests.
Quite the way to demonstrate our ambitions.
Quite the way to get United worried, given they know we have previous and a good record at Old Trafford.

Full allocation please at either OT or Villa Park, where we could erase the pulis submission.

I have no concerns about getting tickets. My only concern travelling from London is the time and day. There will be no train back after the game if it a kick off after 7pm
