Why Langstaff, is it because he was a Boro fan?Can Langstaff do a Vardy?

What the hell is that stat?

I can't get my head round what that is giving you
Where have we done this though? At least enough for it to be some kind of pattern or thing we make a point of doing? The only player signed from another Championship club this season was Dieng, Last season there was Barlaser, while Lenihan and Smith were leaving Blackburn and Stoke on frees regardless of whether they joined us or not. We're not really in a position to regularly be able to sign the best players from other Championship clubs. Not sure we are willing to sell him, but if the price is right the lad will go unfortunately, I had the opinion early on his passing was off and let the ball roll a few more strides on front of him when running with it, he seems to glide across the pitch and has been the standout player up top this season. Credit goes to the scouts for bringing him in but unfortunately we do the same thing and pick the best players from other sides in our division. Seems like a decent lad also.

similar record.. similar age.. height..Why Langstaff, is it because he was a Boro fan?
Vardy was a bit special, much of it down to his pace.similar record.. similar age.. height..
is Vardy a boro fan?
Looks to me like EOPA is a metric that shows that a player is responsible for creating good chances for players (from open play) and EOPG is a metric that shows that a player is good at getting themselves in good positions to score goals. A minus for EAR is probably so you don't get too much credit for scoring tap-ins or an indication that you are doing something after receiving the ball to increase the xG i.e creating chances for yourself. What the hell is that stat?

Was on our books as a kidVardy was a bit special, much of it down to his pace.
I'm sure Boro will have had a look at Longstaff already.
Derailing an already too long thread with nonsense Michael.I love pie.
Chicken and mushroom my go to.
I know and I think we'll have had a look since he developed. Was on our books as a kid
Shearer was on Newcastles books..Was on our books as a kid
Yep and I don’t think he would cut it as I’ve said plentyVardy was a bit special, much of it down to his pace.

Much more likely that he was brought in as a replacement for McGree. You can see the club working towards a production line model since Scott started. It feels a bit like Azaz was brought in as a replacement for Rogers..
Not on about this season in general but in the past but brought in the best players from those sides Crooks Clayton Leadbitter Morsy etc.Where have we done this though? At least enough for it to be some kind of pattern or thing we make a point of doing? Everyone has a plan until £15m shows up at the front door! I hope we can keep hold of Rogers. We have the makings of a decent premier league core.. 2nd/3rd place in the prem comes calling tho.. no chanceMuch more likely that he was brought in as a replacement for McGree. Tav > McGree > Azaz
McNair > RvDB
Howson > Barlaser (just about getting there)
At the same time we have been recovering from filling too many places with loans by looking for multiple options to replace them.
CF: [Mystery missed target] + Latte lath
LB: Engel + Bangura
#10: Rogers + Greenwood
GK: Dieng + backups
Pretty sure we are looking to keep the players who succeed for 2 seasons so that we can sell at their peak. Not 6 months.
Unexpected factors aside, I expect to say goodbye to McGree, McNair, Dijksteel, Howson and possibly Crooks this summer. Apart from Dijksteel, they have ready made replacements in place.
The magority of Rogers stats are from lower league opponents in the league cup. He still has alot of development to do and has only really been starting due to our injury crisis. He has alot of promise same as Sammy Silvera but they need to be well coached, trained and get playing time to develop for the level Villa are. Going to Villa is like running before you can walkCan't believe some of the comments on this thread about Rogers.
If he was at another championship club and we were looking at signing him, people would look at his stats and highlight reel and be buzzing with idea of him joining.
Instead because he's our players he's lucky to be even starting games and wouldn't be playing if it were for injuries. got to laugh.
Be gutted if he goes but if does hopefully we get a good deal and reinvest well.
Pinching players that have been on loan at champo sides too! McGree, Azaz.. to some extent the lians from last season. Not on about this season in general but in the past but brought in the best players from those sides Crooks Clayton Leadbitter Morsy etc.
Maybe they will compromiseWould anybody complain at a deal such as £10m + loan back to us for the rest of the season?
There's some quality players further down the league we could potentially use the money on like Chair from QPR.
