Villa Attendance

Lets fill as many seats as possible and help make it a special Saturday night down by the Riverside.

The family end is empty and normally full. This is a reflection on the cost of living after Xmas and the bargain price that the family end season tickets are.

Not mentioned by MFC but villa got two additional allocations bringing their total to over 4960.
Understandable given sluggish home sales and will help boost attendance.
They will sound as noisy as hell on TV.

The club have got this horribly wrong again. Early January and most Teesside folk are skint post Xmas and 3 home games in a row.

Gibbo's obsession with the season ticket model bites him in the posterior. There are lots of options for the cup games but as is his want non season ticket holders must be treated as second class citizens and pay more. TV does not help but it seems plenty of STH's are voting with their feet.

Twenty is plenty !

17.30 kick off, live on the BBC, just after Christmas. No wonder the crowd is low. Anybody remember the boycott of the Manchester United game in 2002?

I think a lot of people are also probably a bit disinterested in this one, especially considering what Carrick should be doing is fielding a majority u21s team to save legs for the big one against Chelsea

Not sure they could bundle it with Chelsea tickets as don't prices have to be agreed with visiting team if you want to alter normal matchday pricing and it is in neither Chelsea's or Aston Villa's interest to have the ground full with Boro fans.

Everyone remembers when the club got it spectacularly wrong for the Man Utd FA Cup game, fans voted with their feet that day (i think they tried to charge premier league walk up prices)

Shame as we turned them over. That game was live on the BBC too i think

Honestly from past pricing experience - I doubt a further fiver would have made much difference to sales at all.

Here you go.

It's on TV, it's only Villa who although doing well are not exactly a big draw.

I am sure the club expected low sales but they prefer lower sales at a higher price than higher sales at a lower price.

It is what it is. If villa bring 5k then my attendance guess is 19k.

5.30 KO put me off, can’t get a train back, will be in the pub somewhere watching.
