VDB Injured Again

Rav has played alot of football in the last year and with younger players they need to be managed as they are still growing and adapting, unfortunately, due to injuries we haven't had the luxury of managing Rav in this way, which could be a product of the reoccurring injuries, hopefully it is nothing to serious.

Thats a bummer at least the idiots on here calling for him to be dropped for clarke get their dream partnership of fridge and baldini
Dream partnership is a bit strong. Just wanted them to have a go to cover for Rav not being quite at it this season.

Looks like we're forced to go that way now sadly and hopefully Rav recovers soon cos no doubt he will earn his way back in.

Whilst not on the same level as last season, we still appear to have a disproportionate amount of injuries compared to other teams.

Sunderland for example seem to be managing just fine with a young small squad, without players breaking every week

I started a thread about Rav starting to look like he was beginning to show a dip in form. I didn't say I wanted him dropped :p
Having a plethora of quality centre backs has paid off if, indeed, he is injured. Hope he's back soon and fighting for his place in the team.

Could be a an interesting development. this. I agree with the way Carrick has kept Edmundson in the side despite Clarke been back. Unless you lose form there should be no first choice starters, shame you get injured but you have to fight your way back in the side not just automatically get back in. Could be some good competition for CBs this season.

Good thing is it shouldn't cause too much disruption.

Edmundson on the right, Clarke on the left.

Just spitballing here, but I wonder if something was known before Norwich, and that's why Dijksteel was given a game... potentially to get him up to speed in case Ayling needs to deputise at CB again.
