Var in premiership

Surely there has to be an investigation. There's no excuse for Brighton not to have been giving a pen there by VAR.

Wonder what was going on with the Brighton manager he was kicking off before the game had started with the Spurs bench. Not surprised he got sent off.

Just caught the highlights. That is farcical.

If nothing else it'll ruin those figures for the percentage of calls that VAR gets correct.

Just seen Saturday’s MOTD. At least 2 fairly clear Brighton pens should have been given on review.

Yet again it’s a weekend where it gets discussed for the complete failure to reach the correct decision.
I think it probably gets discussed negatively as much as bad refereeing decisions used to now, maybe even more. So what’s the point?

People used to say ‘give it time for officials to get used to it and iron out any issues’.
Well 4 seasons in and it’s got worse, not better!

Had to laugh at one of the Palace goals yesterday. Player was onside by about 2 ft......yet still took a couple of mins for the check 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

The Spurs v Brighton game was probably the worst game in PL history for appalling VAR decisions. The "handball" disallowed goal and the penna not given were decisions made where you thought "ey up, someone has a few quid on Spurs here".
