Usyk v Joshua 2

I think going all out against Usyk will play right into his hands, Usyk is technically on another planet compared to Joshua, if Joshua steams forward , Usyk will catch him on the counter and the fight will be over within 8 rounds for me , only chance Joshua has is landing a lucky shot , I personally think the Ruiz defeat ruined him mentally

When he broke onto the scene he was an absolute wrecking machine.. laying everyone out.

He then showed tremendous heart and a decent chin when he got up to beat Klitshcko in that grueller.

I agree, I think his USA debut and that defeat to Ruiz has completely changed him as a fighter.

AJ will have to try to Wilder Usyk to win.

AJ's downfall has been that's he's trying to be a boxer not a fighter, and he's not on the same technical level as Usyk and Fury, and doesn't have Wilder's power, so he's very good but not great at anything.

He obviously has a punches chance, but I can't see anything another other than a Usyk win unless AJ shows something he hasn't so far.

No way usyk loses this joshua is boxing for his own ego and his career usyk is representing his country at war.

a country that he has stood on the front line for.

We’ve never seen this kind of scenario in modern sport before.

The motivation behind usyk must immense.

He won’t lose this.

AJ can definitely win but I think his only path to victory is to come out swinging and use his size. My guess is that this will just open him up to getting pinged in the face with counters and he will be out on his feet by the 4th round.

If they were the same size I wouldn’t give him a chance but with that size advantage you always have a chance especially at heavyweight when you hit hard. Usyk has had a rough time with what’s been going on in the Ukraine too so that could play a part.

If he tries to box Usyk it’s the same outcome, he loses a wide decision, if he goes for it he gets stopped by the 6th.

“It sounds crazy,” Joshua said via the Daily Mail, “but I’m not going to lie: My objective was never to hurt him, to land damaging punches; my aim was to go the full 12 rounds and prove I could box as well as he does, to land scoring punches."

Talks absolute nonsense.

That’s because he thinks he is better than he is as he is fed the hype Hearn and believes it.

A lot of love for Usyk in the 8th on here - do we not rate AJ at all to take him all the way like last time?
Well Usyk nearly stopped him in the last round didn’t he ,for me if Joshua is aiming for a shootout it could end very badly for him ,but as ever it’s Heavyweight boxing ,it only takes 1 shot

Oh absolutely - I don't know I think they'll be a different AJ this time around it may be bias for obvious reasons.

An AJ win would be incredible.

I think people rate him how they always rated him, he's a very solid heavyweight but nothing special. He absolutely could go the distance again but he'd lose on points, if he wants to win he has to try and put it on Usyk from the 1st round, that strategy will get one of them knocked out and I'd favour AJ to be the one to go.
