Usyk v Joshua 2

After the last fight, Joshua struggled to win 3 rounds, he tried to outbox Usyk who can skip about like someone a few weights lower, AJs best success in that fight was when he took the fight to Usyk, in the 5th 6th round, if he tries to box him again he will lose, in my opinion AJ needs to go all or nothing from the bell, looking forward to the fight

I think going all out against Usyk will play right into his hands, Usyk is technically on another planet compared to Joshua, if Joshua steams forward , Usyk will catch him on the counter and the fight will be over within 8 rounds for me , only chance Joshua has is landing a lucky shot , I personally think the Ruiz defeat ruined him mentally

I think that's the plan, it can backfire of course and if Usyk manages to avoid Joshua in the first half of the fight he will win.

Personally I think AJ gets a lot of unnecessary and unfair criticism at times. Is he a top class opactor in the ring? No, he isn't. He doesn't have anywhere near the same amateur pedigree as Usyk or most of the other heavies for that matter. However he's never ducked or hidden from anyone and he has achieved his success by making the most of his power and his ability to outgun opponents.

He needs to go back to his strengths and he has the power to KO anyone. Usyk will be very elusive in the first 6 rounds but if AJ catches him he can beat him. However, I see a brave first half for AJ but then Usyk starts outclassing him as he tires and gets a late stoppage or a reasonably comfortable points victory.

Joshua can’t go out swinging or he’ll be gassed after a few rounds. I just don’t think he’s good enough to trouble Usyk.

No shame in that, Usyk is p4p one of the best in the business.

Well he can’t do the same as he did last time, as it will be same result, imo probably 1 or 2 rounds sounding out, then all or nothing, cos he ain’t gonna outbox Usyk, but I think if he goes for it from the off, he will beat him.

I think Usyk wins inside six rounds - depending on the odds I will bet as such.

I think that's a brave bet. Usyk looks to have bulked up big time but will thar be at cost to his movement? I think Usyk will win but first 6 rounds for me is when AJ goes sh*t or bust. If Usyk goes toe to toe first 6 it's giving AJ a huge opportunity.

It’s certainly intriguing - let’s see what the odds are - I’m not a big gambler but if the odds are long enough I may put a few quid on it!

I think it could be a decent bet especially if usyk has a bit more weight on him he could definitely knock him out. Shame fury is ‘retired’ because I’d love to have seen him box usyk.

I can’t see AJs new trainer saying, “yeah just do the same as you did last time you fought him with your last trainer,”
like has been said, AJ not going to outbox Usyk, so his only chance is going to be ko.

He will soon be back , in fact I would say as soon as next wknds fight is over , as really him v the winner is the only logical fight left out there for Fury

One thing that really should not be underestimated , is the fact that Usyk has the added motivation to provide a slight glimmer of hope to his fellow Ukraine people

If that is on his mind entering the ring he will lose, a fighter needs to be focussed, not on would or could be happening in his homeland.

I disagree , he will be 100% focussed on winning , focussed on winning for his people , not what's happening there, look no further than when Buster Douglas beat Mike Tyson, his mother had just passed away , and in his own words he did it for her.
Also do you really think an unbeaten professional boxer with an amateur record of 335-15 is going to enter the ring anything but 100% focussed on his opponent , what's going on in his homeland will motivate him ,not distract .

You could counter that with the fact he’s putting a whole load of extra pressure on himself. It has pros and cons.

Tricky one to call this as AJ has switched trainers so there's all sorts of styles he could use it's whether or not they're successful against the might of Usyk.

Normally put money on a AJ fight and normally it's just a particular round to keep it interesting but genuinely any sceanrio is possible so it could be a few bets placed in various ways.

I'm not a massive fan of AJ but I have a gut feeling he's got something up his sleeve and he is going to have the performance of his life and come out victorious.

Edit - I hope Uysk 'smokes him'
