I like a lot of the reasoning for this, apart from the black. The black colouring has nowt to do with us. It shouldnt be a part of our badge. Leave that to the mackems.

The lion needs his chin back. Looks like it was crossed with a bulldog.

my preferred route too though still need work. The lion looks wrong soehow and not sure that the waves represents the River Tees - small points but overall, I like it

How about swapping the lion for the Dorman Long tower, or even a pair of twinned cooling towers?

If the club was ever going to think about a change, i think it would tie in with us going back up but i just don't see it happening.
I hope i'm wrong though, the current badge is naff. Circle badges are the best IDST

Should just be the old 1986 one, replace the year and crack on.
I do like the fancy photoshop one with the boats but i just dont see a big change like that ever happening

Aston Villa have had to change their badge repeatedly in the last year because their first effort to change was not popular with the fans.

I can't think of many examples where it's changed and received well recently tbh.

Leeds, Yeovil, Juventus, Villa, they've all had a backlash.

Now lets see it with the correct lion but colour match it with the circle.... In both the bright red of the lion, and the darker red of the circle

I'm not sold on the black background and I'd sooner the blue was the bridge instead of the bridge background, but I love it bar that.

That makes the badge infinitely better. I agree with others. The black needs sorting. Maybe just make it white?

I'd be interested to see the first badge you did with the 86 lion (the darker one) but in the brighter red but i think it'll be a bit too bright and garish. I love the deeper red with the gradiant think thats brilliant

Thats far too much red. Replace the black with white maybe? Hmmmm it's tricky isn't it. Never going to please everyone. I see why the club can't be arsed touching on this subject anymore.

Chelsea is the blue lion , I hate everything about Chelsea .
Boro are red lion , de Brus family have nothing to do with the club .

The lion was inherited from Robert the Bruce being gifted land in Yorkshire so there is a connection, I agree with you about the blue lion it has to stay red.
Our lion is the same as the one on Scotland's or Marske United's shirts whether you like it or not.

Amateur hour over here ... Made the black white, got rid of the 86 and made the lion more prominent. The black outlines could probablybe changed to red as well but i don't know how to do that on paint

Oh sorry to hear that mate. If you do anything related to photoshop related football badge creating i'm sure you'll be back in work in no time.

I don't hate that latest one, i prefer the other lion, and the two different reds are a bit much (Red 1 = The lion, Red 2 = The outer circle) - I think a single shade of red would work better.

I'm not sure i like the transporter bridge on there, especially with all the noise about it being unstable and serious potential for it being pulled down in our lifetime. I understand its the history of the town, but it's not really related to the club and for most of our history the club played miles away from it.

I think just the circle badge, with that nice new font and the old '86 lion with the detatched claws, in one shade of red is the best bet. VERY similiar to the old 86 badge just with a fresher font. Perhaps the word ERIMUS under the lion where in your latest design you had '86'

So much to think about... I wish i was good at photoshop but then again i'd get nothing done.
