Unbelievable Season so far….

Regardless of what happens for the rest of the season… it’s the most inspiring we’ve had in a long time… Carrick-inflated leather casey Mitre Delta Premier League spherical philosophy, Chuba on fire, loans come good, Howson in the engine room, the emergence of Hackney, developmental players looking like seasoned pros, the return of Fry, and say what you like about Steffen, we could always get Lumley back in net, actually winning games, our March up the table, a push for automatics and with the season almost done sitting 4th six points clear in the playoff positions…. Would love promotion… but what ever happens this has been a great Season… at least from when Carrick arrived! Up the F***ing Boro!!!!

Exactly right. That's why i don't get the negativity of some (mainly on Twitter, BBC Tees etc.). We've just come out of our best run of form in living memory and some people are losing their **** because we were narrowly beaten by the champions elect and 'only' drew at Ashton Gate (a ground we usually get nowt from). Completely unrealistic expectations. This team should be celebrated even if we lose the play-offs.

One of the best things about this season is how constantly good our performances have been. Over 40 odd years of supporting Boro I've seen us have some often short-lived good spells, but Carrick's team have been consistently good for months now - not only in the results but also the quality of our play, its been a joy to watch since he took over, good football, great results, an exciting end to the season coming up, and when we've lost now and then we haven't been bad and often been the better team in those few defeats.

yep - as mentioned elsewhere, he's come in and worked and improved players already with the club. Let's see how good we can become when he gets his preferred players in.
That's why I don't think he will move on - he needs to test himself with a team/squad that he has built.

Lets hope no one with the surname Ball becomes a top manager one day, otherwise we'll have to put up with Ballball. 😁
Surely even more confusing would be someone with the surname Foot.

Wonder if the former leader of the labour party has any relatives with their coaching badges🤔

Definitely been a good season. Decent improvement on last year and obviously massive improvement from when Carrick took over. We've been slowly building since Warnock took over. Wilder improved us last year, albeit lost his focus (which resulted in a terrible start to the season) and now Carrick has taken it a step further. Expect this to continue and for us to be genuinely challenging for Top 2 next season if we are still in the Championship. Hopefully though, we will go up in the play-offs. Big 6/7 weeks coming up. Exciting times ahead!

Anyone who reviewed the last 30 minutes of yesterdays game will probably agree with me that I think we were probably around 70-80 percent there (close to PNE game output) apart from the winning goal. Passing and invention was good although Giles was the culprit I thought with two or three crosses which were wayward.

If we hadn’t had the misfortune of giving the rest of the league a third of the season head start, we might have been up there with Burnley. However, post Wilder, a very enjoyable season indeed.

It's been a largely excellent season, but if we don't make the play-offs then it's not really any different to many of our other near misses.

I think we will though, so it's probably going to be our best season since 2015/16, and if we get promoted then I'd probably rank it above that because of just how many more goals we've scored.

Though of course that's ignoring 1/3rd of this season, which was bang average to poor, but it was under different managers.

Can we stop adding 'ball' onto the name of the manager.

Otherwise bang on Rambo.
Sorry Humpty I’m new to the posting game, I’ll stick ‘ball’ into room 101… And I’ve changed it just for you… haha!

I knew our run was due to come to end.
1.They always do
2. A Boro lad on a football podcast on YouTube said that ‘Boro had taken Sheff Us soul away’….

Doesn’t change the fact that this season is highly enjoyable with quality football and we haven’t needed an Oligarch to take our soul away to do it.
