Sound & Vision
These are the company richer sounds in boro will recommend. Done work for me and they were good. I've had some cowboys in the past that use fake photos from other sites etc but these post their own work

I have hung quite a few TV's in our house and its quite straight forward.

I tend to avoid attaching it to the wall, to minimise damage.

A few pics below of my work, excuse the bedroom photo, its a bit messy.

I'm happy to help, the traditional rope or fish hook methods I would do for free, but if you go for the Gallows option, it would cost more.

that first pic looks like the set of a Tears For Fears 1980s music video. Well done!

All you need to do it yourself is a hammer and chisel then some plaster. Easy as 👍
If he wants to hide the wires he would be better installing a conduit run so that he can pull new cables later if he wants to add more or the speakers fail he may also need double sockets adding behind the tv for power for the tv and a STB or media player. I speak from experience after the last guys I used plastered the cables in and used a crap cable that couldn't handle Dolby vision

Mounting the tv depends on wall type and can be as easy as wall plugs in a template but some wall types like plasterboard need more thought.

Doing all this it's easy enough to come accrosss mains electricity wires, radiator pipes, gas pipes etc and can make a right mess. Many people probably know nothing about speaker placement either and majority of people put their TVs too high or, worse, above a fireplace so they're looking up at it.

So while you can easily do all this DIY, it's easy to mess it up, damage stuff, end up with a smashed tv on the floor etc and the cost isn't huge to get someone insured to do it for you

I put my TV up on the wall of my lounge and put a new fire place in 5 years ago. It all looks great but I chased out the brick work and placed wires in the wall thinking that I would be out the house in a couple of years time and it'll be someone else's problem when they come to upgrading.

Well here I am 5 years later and we've decided to stay where we are. And I can't upgrade my TV because I know what an **** on its going to be replacing the wires 🤦🏻‍♂️.
