The worrying thing is that there are a lot of people who really do believe there is a conspiracy. No matter what evidence is put in front of them. I do wonder though, is there a chance that he could still become President and pardon himself? Or is he definitely going to be put away before that happens?

He can't pardon himself on state crimes.

He can't overturn the indictment, but he can pardon himself of criminal charges, at least theoretically, as far as I know. There are a lot of other possibilities as well. It's definitely interesting, if a little scary. This article about it is quite interesting.

No he can’t over rule state criminal charges but what he could do is move them to federal court.

You only have to look at the GOP primary debate the other night to see the level of cultism/fear in the ranks.
When asked if they'd back Trump as nominee even if he was convicted, all but Asa Hutchinson raised their hand. Well, De Santis looked right and left first before doing so, but they all did. Spineless cowards who are afraid of dealing with him for fear of not getting the backing of his base so it pays to tow the line of the witch-hunt.
