Trump continues to MAGA

The Senate failed to pass a bill blocking his tariffs after 2 Senators likely to vote in favour of it failed to turn up.
Needless to say, one of them was Mitch McConnell. The man who is more responsible than most for filling the Supreme Court with Conservative Judges and allowing Trump to hijack the Republican party and make it into what it is today.
He has a complete lack of backbone when it comes to backing up his words with actions.

I’d expect nothing less from the cretin.

He’s the same person who said Trump was responsible for the insurrection on January 6th 2020.

He then acquitted him.

That won't go down well with Russia, who (eventually) did just as much to win WWII if not more.

He's an absolute weapon and I don't mind saying that I hope he's not for this earth much longer and that I really couldn't care less whether it's having a heart attack on the toilet like Elvis, spontaneous human combustion or a bullet through his head. He's evil, he's doing his best to cause huge conflict around the world so I hope he's soon gone - sorry if that upsets some people, but his Presidency would be absolutely comical if it wasn't so dangerous for the whole planet.

Just like it's impossible to argue with DT himself.

You just get one or more of these:

- insult
- whataboutery
- deflection
- denial
- accusation of 'fake news'
- obfuscation
- claims with zero evidence, or even with all evidence pointing to the contrary!
- and finally the usual 'You LOST, get over it'

In other words, the same tactics that Russia has been using for years.

Not even sure he's really evil. That would imply a level of self awareness I don't think he possesses.

He's a creature of pure self interest and narcissism. He's a disgusting creature but he's seriously mentally unstable. I don't think he has any concept of good or evil, right or wrong. And his entire life he's been surrounded by people who have played along.

I would've loved for him to go to jail and lose the election, that would've hurt him far more than death.

He's a useful idiot for some truly evil people mind.

In the practical sense, sure. And Trump‘s ignorance in respect of the Pacific war would be breathtaking if it wasn’t entirely in line with his ignorance in respect of pretty much everything else. But if we are going to be really pedantic about your use of the word “officially”, the war in Europe didn’t officially end until the coming into force in March 1991 of the Treaty on the Final Settlement with Respect to Germany and the formal end of the allied occupation of Berlin.

Unfortunately as I said about a week ago - and I so wish I’d been wrong - I fully expected Trump/MAGA to start dealing with judges that didn’t rubber stamp all his actions

Sad times indeed. My eldest is doing a 4 month trip round Europe and was going to spend 5 days in the US (New York) on the way over.

She’s been advised to transit rather than stay as the US Embassy here can not confirm whether she will be allowed in, arrested or deported.

My eldest is transgender btw and stayed in new York with us 18 months ago with no problems.

The issue is her gender on her original birth certificate, passport and ESTA. None match.
