Trivia Question

Does Robbie Stockdale‘s one-match stint as Sunderland‘s sole caretaker manager in 2017 make it 10?

The answer to the original question is 2-7.

That's right depending on how you interpret the question. There has been a 7-2 result eg Villa v Liverpool. The Guardian seems to be more concerned with the number of goals, so 10 is their answer - 10 nil in fact as all other combinations of 10 goals has happened.

Ok I get that but as that article ( not the Guardian I see) says the answer is 2-7 as the lowest ever unique Prem Score that has never happened. And that was the question in the first post?

Think villa beat Liverpool 7-2 in the COVID years? and didn't man utd beat arsenal 7-2 in the death throws of Ferguson/Wenger
And we beat Chelsea by the same score but that was before football really started.

Commentators/journalists love sensationalism so wiping out over a century of records gives them what they want.

That's why i said "that's right". It's two different questions.

When I posted the question, I took the Guardian's answer to be 10-0. I assume they meant there's been either a home win or an away win by each score, not necessarily both. The Guardian also says that every 10 goal scoreline has occurred except 10-0.

Nice to see Boro's 10-3 get a mention too.

I've always felt that the biggest disappointment of the 1973/74 promotion season was not scoring 10 against Sheffield Wednesday.
