just waiting on the gazette rolling out it's annual "Howson is like a new signing" piece they do any time we have a quiet window (about any player coming back, not Howson
)I think the players we've brought in are very assute signings. Lenihan and Giles will both walk into our team and play regular first team football. It sounds like the Steffan deal is all sorted and just waiting on a work permit which shouldn't be a problem. He is a level above anyother keeper at the club last season.
The transfer market is very quiet atm and although we need more players in, the ones we've signed have all enhanced our starting 11.

We've been saying for decades that football's financial bubble will burst.
The assumption has always been that this will be a catastrophic meltdown, with clubs being liquidated all over the country.
That's not necessarily the case though is is? Maybe a slow deflation of the bubble is more likely, and that's what we're seeing?

We used to get more fans from other teams didn't we....remember a few Derby, Millwall etc...Wish more fans of other clubs would come ..... generates plenty of discussion / trivia etcetc
Have you seen the Makem board, loads of other team fans, makes plenty of good natured banter

Football is mirroring society. Those at the top doing very, very well. Then there are those desperate to join them by any means possible. Then there are the rest, scrabbling around, waiting for crumbs to fall off the top table.
The Championship certainly looks skint, assume the same in Leagues 1 & 2. Premiersh*t doing okay though.......

That Brentford supporting Beesotted fella from a few years ago. He was dead on and a very regular poster, but I seem to remember him having a full on melt down after a Boro v Brentford fixture and he was never heard of again.
