I think one or two will leave as well. Coburn is going on loan to Plymouth as soon as we sign a striker, and can see someone like McNair going. Talk that McGree wants out too, but I can’t see there being anything in it.

Regarding Mcgree I think he’s overrated, yes he’s a technical skilful easy on the eye player but he doesn’t contribute enough in terms of goals and assists. He goes missing when it matters imo
 
I think we are currently miles off top 2 material, sadly. That’s not to say that I don’t think we’ll end up challenging for automatic spots…
I fancy another 4 incoming, 2 signings and 2 quality loans.
I stupidly still hold out hope that Archer will arrive somehow. I’m stupid.

I wouldn't take it as a sign that we don't want automatic promotion if we don't sign 3 more players though. I imagine we will bring in whoever we can who we think will improve the squad, and hope for the best. That's pretty much what we and every other club in this tier does, sometimes it works, usually it doesn't.
 
I’d like to see some proven Championship(or above) quality added -signed, loaned, whatever.
We’ve brought in a lot of players who are untested at this level. I hope they all make it and on early evidence, I think Lath, Engel, Rogers and RVB will do.

For me, I’d still like another 4 - CF, LF (Willock?) LB (cover) and CM cover for Howson (I’m very much NOT in the camp that thinks we need to replace Howson now. He’s the first name on my team sheet and while he can’t go on forever, I think he’s got this season in him. He’s so important to us. I’d actually be happy with Mowatt for cover. Thought he did pretty well towards the end of last season when he was played in the midfield 2. Retained possession and moved the ball pretty quickly. Decent inexpensive cover who knows the club and seemed to fit in well)

I think McGree could be off unfortunately.Something just smells a bit off there, unless he’s carrying a knock or something.
I’d keep Paddy. Covers a few positions and the criticism of him is waaaay over the top.
I also think Jones is going to surprise a lot of people this season and will work his way back into the limelight.

Also, I hate to say it but I’ve got a bit of niggling doubt about Fry for the way we play. He’s a much better defender when we are backs against the wall, but I worry that possession based, higher risk, quicker passing football building from the back, isn’t his game. Feel a bit dirty saying it, but that’s the truth. Hope he proves me wrong.
 
From the Echo this morning it sounds like we are only after three more, a centre midfielder, attacking midfielder and another striker. It also mentions that we would most probably only look to bring in one loan signing... What doesn't make sense to me, is that we are saying we need a striker because we are short of options up there, yet if another striker comes in we will be letting Coburn go out on loan? :unsure:

Totally agree about Mcgree, he reminds me of a 5-a-side player, keeps the ball too long, not releasing a pass quick enough, tries too many dribbles, not the quickest player, and when he does lose the ball, which he often does, he cannot get back to assist the defence.
Carrick also sees his negatives, he is not a number 10, not a left sided attacker not quick enough, could play left Mid, but he's never going to replace Hackney for that position.
Players we need to sign, an Akpom no 10 replacement, a Center Mid and another Striker, allowing Josh to go out on loan.
Think we will sign 3 players and possibly a loan deal, all depending on outgoings.

Mcgree is our best player and most valuable asset . End of .

Cant play left midfield where were you last season he was excellent there
