While we have discussed 'til the cows come home what we need to do in the next 48 hours, our position could be strengthened massively by transfers that have nothing to do with us.

Sheff United and Watford looked very good and they will be up there but they could be significantly weaker because they have players that are better than this level. If Watford lose Joao Pedro and Sarr they will be much less impressive, if Sheff United lose Berge they would be ordinary. Blackburn without Brereton Diaz look bottom half standard.

We have already lost our 'saleable' assets so even if we don't sign anyone else in the next 2 days then we at least know we aren't going to be any weaker. If really hope the Mags spunk a load of money to take Pedro out of the equation.

For all the talk of "unlucky, deserved more" etc, the top 4 are already away and running.
All the positivity from last season and CW's post PNE interview, have drained away.
I hope the club can force some good signings over the line in the next day or so, or we're in for an underwhelming season.

They would be bananas to let those go with no time to replace them.
