Too slow and passive!

MC will point to controlling the game for long periods. (Sideways, backwards)
Hope he can grow some and make changes soon to step this up.

I actually think towards the end of the half we started to move the ball with a bit more urgency.

As soon as we went 1 down we started moving it quicker which I think makes it even more annoying that we didn't start out like that. I get it for the 1st 5 minutes or so you don't want to make mistakes and encourage them but after that you've got to play.

It just seems like we have no desire to try and win games .. it like an attitude of "if we keep passing backwards and sideways we'll eventually score" .. but we don't .. so pass it backwards and sideways some more

Our intensity with and without the ball has been awful all season.

We actually look much less fit than the opposition every week. I don't think we are, it's just the way we play.

Their free kick on the edge of our box was a result of Aiden Moreis passing back to Dieng after the ball came out of their box. Why not push the ball back forward even if the perfect pass wasn’t on. We lack decisiveness going forward

We seem to be afraid to take any risks with forward passes at the moment. The players seem to be too afraid of giving away possession to actually try and do anything inventive.

We have 4/5 passes to switch wings when we could have done it in two, giving the mackems time to get in position. Morris and Hackney too close together all the time, one could have tried to get forward.

Too much trying to walk the ball in to the net. Need to be much more decisive in the final third

I know he was only on for 10 minutes but Burgzorg is no striker, so why let Coburn go out on loan! We only have ELL as a striker as Conway is playing this daft Forss Stuani role. All these signings we have brought in barring Morris have not improved this side.

We need to move the ball far quicker and be more aggressive both in and out of possession.

Izzy needs to run at them rather than slowing it down and letting them all get back in before he gets his head up.

Sunderland are more direct, more aggressive and more direct.
In the first half I counted three times Jones got free, looked up, didn't put the cross in and turned to pass it backwards.. the movement of the front men is so poor, Azaz just couldn't get on the ball, Conway (tried hard) again lacked quality, Lath, isn't putting the same commitment in...
