Too much bellicose posting

There are some entrenched positions on Brexit in particular which are unlikely to be altered by either reasoned debate of bellicose posturing ... and this goes for both sides of the argument. If you can't avoid lumping groups of posters together and labelling them stupid/ignorant/incapable of accepting facts/analysis etc then don't be surprised if you antagonise them. By the same token, if you find one poster's belligerance intolerable, do us all a favour and ignore them. If it doesn't simmer down there'll be some "naughty step" treatment handed out. And it doesn't matter how well known or otherwise reasonable you are on here. We can do without constant reports of bullying/insults/aggression. We have lives ... remarkably enough.
Thanks for your attention.
NOT BEFORE TIME!

One of the fabulous necessary attributes of this board is the IGNORE button . Works a treat 😉
I’ve just realised the above message I sent is probably as likely to of been read than a fart being heard from another universe as I’ll be mega ignored . Is there any body theeeeeerrrrrr ??? ☺️

Agreed but we could also do with an “Ignore Thread” button so that the dozens of posts on here every day about Brexit, Johnson, Tories Covid and the Royal Family can be removed from our individual screens.

It's 100% something that can be used on this forum software, and I've raised the point on numerous occasions in the feedback thread, but I've never got a response.

Genuinely don't know why it's not in in use, it could solve so many issues.

...or there is the other option of you seeing threads you don't want to get involved with and making a decision not to engage with them. Revolutionary thought, I know....

What's peoples thoughts on having a football forum and one for all the other stuff. I go on RTG a bit and they have a Pure football forum and everything else goes on another forum. It works very well.

Again, I refer you to my last input on this thread. Why not just ignore threads that aren't your thing? Politics/Brexit threads are generally quite easy to avoid.

Can't say I mind either way. I'm interested in a lot of the non football threads so all it would mean was the minor inconvenience of an extra click (first world problems and all that).

If it's really causing some people that much stress seeing non-football threads next to football threads, then I'm happy to take the hit of an extra click.

I just want to underline what Borolad says - as we are still getting people reporting behaviour of each other in this way - IGNORE them.
I don't want to get to know the posting habits of individual users. One of the points in getting this forum is so people can moderate for themselves and IGNORE those they do not want to interact with. It has got to be the best answer.
