Too much bellicose posting

I just want to underline what Borolad says - as we are still getting people reporting behaviour of each other in this way - IGNORE them.
I don't want to get to know the posting habits of individual users. One of the points in getting this forum is so people can moderate for themselves and IGNORE those they do not want to interact with. It has got to be the best answer.
Running a messageboard sounds like a right faff!

While I agree that there shouldn't be a need for moderation as people should act their age and stop acting like kids - I don't think that is the right message. People should use the ignore button but if you don't have the time to moderate then you should appoint volunteers that you trust to moderate on your behalf. People should be encouraged to report the behaviour of others if they are acting against the rules.

Otherwise you're washing your hands of the situation. And with respect - you shouldn't be running a social platform if you aren't prepared to deal with the responsibilities it brings. Obviously it's on a lot larger scale and they have much larger resources to pay people but it would be like letting Facebook or Twitter off with their obligations just because others can block / ignore posters.

There's a deeper issue that some people on this site have been allowed to belittle fellow users for a long time and have continued to get away with it. And that really needs to be addressed.

Are we ok to report bad behaviour or not?

I know we are all meant to be adults but some people seem to be completely unable to act like one.
