Tonights Gazza documentary

I’ve just watched both episodes

I honestly Had no idea sheryl was so entwined with that awful Rebekah brooks woman and piers Morgan.

Didn’t know about the childhood friend who got killed by a car in front of him either.

Deep down his is a tragic story isn’t it ?

I haven't watched the second one yet but I guessed she was along for the money too judging by the comments at the end of episode 1. The childhood friend story was awful, your mate dying in your arms at 11....that's just horrific.

Shocking really.

You take someone with obvious mental frailties and exploit them the way the press did, it’s going to be a disaster.

Still think Chris evans and Danny baker exploited his fame as England player and never looked like true friends.

Mersons comment to him when they were both commuting up to training at Boro was telling.

I never liked him as a Middlesbrough player. Never took to him. Never understood why we signed him.
But clearly a tortured soul. I hope he at least has some peace and a quieter life now.

Not sure Baker cared about exploiting his fame, he’s never really cared about that and has had far more famous friends over the years. I just think he enjoyed his company. They might not have been good for Gazza, or they might actually have been better for him than many at the time.

Gazza....daft as a brush.

Also a deeply troubled man and I believe the mental health issues which have plagued him throughout his life stems from what happened to him as a child.

He needed a pair of arms around him from a good friend when it mattered most, and he didn't have that. Just a bunch of hangers-on that applauded and encouraged his bad behaviour.

Sad really, he was a one off and world class!
