not sure we need the cover really. Fisher might be available, Gibson signed a new contract and is nearly 21 so you'd hope he would be in contention. Daniel Dodds also signed a new contract and is nearly 22 so again you'd hope he would be able to challenge. And we have Dijksteel who could play there.

Can't really remember Fisher having many good games? Away at Norwich (for his debut was it?) but don't recall much after that, but it was a pretty disjointed time coupled with a disappointing run of form where Warnock inexplicably threw in the towel. I wonder if we'll loan him out to prove his fitness?
You would think if any of those youngsters were really fancied they'd have been given more of a shot last season? I like Dijksteel as a RB and RCB but he never looks great at RWB for some reason, although as an ex-centre mid and a pretty athletic player you would think he'd do a good job there, he just never seems to.
As I said in my last post, I think we do need the cover, we've lost Taylor, Bamba, Wood and Peltier from the defensive ranks and it seems likely Bola is away too and we never use Hall. I'd say cover at LWB and RWB is quite high on the list. Ideally a couple of youth players step up, but I've seen little from within the club to suggest they are any ready to, but I suppose Jones came from nothing to nailed on starter so you never know!

Mixed reports from Stoke aren't really conclusive one way or another. Contrast with what Forest fans might have "discovered" having asked us about Spence at the start of last season.
Sometimes a player just clicks with a team/manager - they'll know more about what they can bring than those of us sniping from the sidelines.
