Tommy Smith or Dijksteel for RB

What are the boards thoughts, I think smith is a bit of a weak link at present and Dijksteel would do a better job supporting Jones going forwards

Smith for me as things stand. 3 wins on the bounce. Overlaps well with Jones and has a good first time cross on him when it’s set back to him.

I’m a huge Dijksteel fan and he would have been in my team if this was earlier in the season but since Smiths come in he’s showed leadership qualities and we are winning matches. Smiths shirt to lose. Carricks a big fan clearly

Smiths shirt at present and he's done well. I'm ok with him starting at RB for now and it's good that we have realistic competition for the position.

Tough to argue with Smith when we're winning like this.

I did think the same thing though today. Smith overlapped Jones a lot of times but barely any of them came to anything. Dijksteels better running with the ball, and crossing it in. Lot of games left though, sure he'll get a chance too.

Smith was poor today definitely the weak link of the team at the moment. Even Giles seems to have lost a bit of confidence going forward but he did still manage a couple of good crosses.

I would stick with Giles but Smith is poor on the ball and needs replacing.

Dijksteel is a better player, technically, than Smith BUT he can be a dozy b***r who plays us into trouble or switches off and costs us. It has got to be Smith as things stand.

I think that’s where I am, on form Dijksteel is a better player than Smith but he needs to keep his concentration.

Sometimes different systems suit different players as well.

I get the impression Smith knows the role a lot better than Djiksteel and that's why he's in the side currently. I'd certainly be more confident with his defensive positioning.

Needs to work on those overlaps though. Couple of times yesterday he ran beyond when there wasn't a Luton player there to track him.

Smith every day for me, especially with Jones being in front. Smith gets involved with more goals and assists, is better defensively and organises those around him. Dijksteel is quicker a much better athlete can occasionally beat a man but switches off, letting runners drift past him and loses the ball more.

I think Smith will stay in there now, but we might be looking to bring a RB in in Jan.
If Darnell was fit he might have had a look in.
