Today's attendance

Almost Christmas.
A lot of families struggling.
Kids pressi`s an all that,
but Teessider`s support a team what puts a shift in and keeps the town on the map.
Our support is flippin amazing - home and away.
Unbelievable.

Didn't look like 1600 west brom.
Not that many more than hull brought.
Didn't add much to the atmosphere either.
Losing twice in the North East in two weeks must have wazzed them off a little bit.
Admittedly, they [luckily] missed at least half-an-hour of their game on Wear-side due to hold-ups on the M!.
That's three victories and three defeats away from home in the last six.
One of those teams which won't be able to hold their own consistently.
Miserable twits.

Interesting that the attendances drop to 24,000 or so for midweek games as opposed to about 28,000 average on weekend. Any idea why?

The mid week games are also free to Sky Sports subscribers.

Away support is halved.

I would say Boro fans more than 60 miles away, don't fancy mid week games i.e. getting home after 11.30pm.

Same with young children - shouldn't be up after 10pm should they?

The reduced pricing for mid week games does not seem to working very well.
