Today for me was about stopping the rot

Totally agree. Peltier and Taylor showed their experience today. Crooks and Jones look like they could do with a rest. Would have liked to have seen Coburn put on, but if we can win at Brum this is a good point.

Just making a point.... At least we didn't have a whole defence out injured.....imagine that....!!
It’s a good point. No matter who is in charge it’s not going to be a straight ride. Injuries will effect is of course and our manager needs to manage his way out of that. We had to take Wilder on when we did regardless of results or attitudes of fans for or against Warnock. Wilder is the long term option and a very good one at that. He’s proven himself on the big stage and doesn’t half know how to get a result against a top team! We’re playing some beautiful football at times (although I do think we’ve hit a bit of a lull due to our super thin squad) For all the big results against top teams and scintillating home form.. we don’t travel very well. Part of me wants to see a bit of Warnock in our away games. A stripped down basic win at all costs snarling filthy battering ram!!

We’re getting better, we can still improve and hopefully fitness, form & finesse all click for the last 3 games!!

Good post Newy, do you think our cup run is papering over the cracks somewhat ?

I think there are a couple of players struggling with the workload of a game every three days too, McNair, Fry, Jones, Crooks, Howson, Tav have played pretty much every minute of every game for months. They have to be feeling the pace, and probably carrying a couple of knocks too. 1 more league game, one cup game, then 2 weeks to recharge the batteries....although I guess McNair will be off with Norn Iron again. Can't blame him, with over 50 caps at his age, I'm sure he is eyeing up being in their top record appearances before his career is out.

No, I think our cup run might be a slight distraction.. perhaps a little more fatigue creeps in.

On the whole it is a massive improvement, excuses go out of the window and confidence goes up. I’d like to go into the playoffs with wins over Man Utd & Spurs under my belt! SIUUUUUUUUUUUU!!

Said before the game the most important thing was a clean sheet - we've leaked goals for fun away from home recently and Millwall have won 5 and drawn 1 of the last six, plus they were at home.

It wasn't anywhere our best today, but it was much better than the last few away games.
