Did we really expect anything else?
I done the same but no second payment as of yet. You’d think they’d check those who had done it first.Like most folk I got the declined email. Logged on and paid with same card! Looked at my in line account and they have now taken a second payment today, that’s two this month. Is that right?
Me too, I followed the email advice, and my payment went through. I received a payment confirmation email from the club.Followed the original email advice from the club to update card details and used the same card details, the payment went through no problem, just waiting to see if a second payment has gone through. This could be a monumental error for people who have budgeted to have that balance at 24th month and they have been pinged twice sending them into the red.
No. A DD isn’t part of the payment plan. That’s a different payment method.I had same problem and paid using link with original card details and it went through. I’ve noticed that there isn’t a direct debit set up with my bank to take the remaining payments, would have expected one to be?
Unusual way of doing it, or maybe I’ve just not experienced multiple payments being taken this way.No. A DD isn’t part of the payment plan. That’s a different payment method.
They take instalments through your preferred card details.
It's a recurring card payment - similar on your statement to direct debit, but coming out via card number (direct debits come out via sort code and account number)Unusual way of doing it, or maybe I’ve just not experienced multiple payments being taken this way.
I see, probably have experienced this before with annual payments for insurance, etc.It looks like less protection for the customer with this method though? I can cancel a direct debit at my end, more difficult to control recurring card payments? It's a recurring card payment - similar on your statement to direct debit, but coming out via card number (direct debits come out via sort code and account number)
Yes. Need to be on the ball and stop them in advance to save hassle.
