Timeline comparing the league positions of Tony Pulis’ 18/19 season, to this season under Woodgate.

Ye everyone who wanted pulis out wanted woodgate in *note sarcasm*

That’s not what I said though is it?

Not all, but MANY wanted “anyone but Pulis” this season, even when I warned them it would be Woodgate.

Woodgate is anyone. They got their wish.

Like I said at the time, be careful what you wish for.

That’s simply not true, and if people said it I don’t think they were being literal

It’s like saying people want Craig liddLe or posters on here instead of woodgate cos they’ve put it down on the internet

Nobody wanted ‘anyone but Pulis’. It’s a figure of speech. To take that literally is churlish in the extreme.

And yes Pulis was a disaster. He wasted every penny of whatever budget we had left, killed the fans, oversaw a disastrous run of form and, ultimately, failed leaving us in a mess. To argue that his fingerprints aren’t all over where we are now is to deny reality.

He had a bigger squad, better players to chose from and more money to spend on players.
Our managers aren't responsible for spending the money, according to most opinions I read on here (mainly about Karanka).

Bigger squad/better players accounts for him finishing 7th instead of in mid-table or in the relegation zone. Whether or not Pulis did 'well enough' is another matter, but compared to Woodgate he looks like Brian Clough.

not really fair to compare a sixty year old veteran manager vs an ex player in his first managerial position, our most experienced member of the management team is chest beating ball boy of the year 2015 Leo Percovich and therein lies our first problem.
