Time to face the harsh truth we need a striker worthy of the name

The whole front of the team hasn't really worked this season.

Tav needs to play every game because the attack needs support from midfield and he's the only one who gets that far up the pitch.
 
At the risk of sounding like a broken record we had one but uncle Tony sold him for a bargain rate while busy "putting the club in a strong position". Bit further back than that another con man had a certain Uruguay international striker on the books and seemingly couldn't wait to get shot.

We really do like shooting ourselves in the foot.
 
Britt hasn't done too badly in goalscoring returns given the service he has endured. Our problem isnt getting goalscorers, we've had loads, its getting the ball to them and playing to their strengths

Brit is a poor player those goals you mention were along time ago he’s not that player now.
 
The supply line is shocking. Spence can’t beat the first man and the other side is hit and miss. So when the odd good ball goes in they’re going to be on their heals because they don’t know what’s coming.

But he wasn’t a top championship striker when we signed him, forest laughed that we paid that much, he couldn’t cut it against the better teams in the league before we signed him, he only ever did and does it against the bottom end teams. Was a stupid waste of money signing on a player who’d been badly injured and was no where near the player he was pre injury.
 
"Stop Penny pinching" ? Nottingham Forest were the Penny pinchers £15million worth of pennies they pinched from us.
What a waste of money he is.

Absolutely!!!! The amount of times both today and on Saturday that good low balls were fired into the box but no one is gambling near post and they just run through to the keeper. I can see what type of ball Johnson likes to play into the box so why do our forwards seem incapable of getting on the end of them

"Britt" has done badly.
He doesn't score enough, he doesnt create any and his all round play is shocking.
We do need more creativity and much better delivery from the wide; but the forwards need to show so very much more than they do.
We didn't lose tonight because of any single player (perhaps bar the keeper) but stop making excuses for Assombolonga and our forwards; they are very poor.

This is spot on... just watch the number of times that Britt either makes the wrong run or no run at all, he has zero footballing brain. Screaming at him to attack the near post and he just wanders in a straight line hoping the ball will reach him. An embarrassment of a striker.
No more of this BS of lack of service to the strikers.
