I know it's probably unlikely but if something good can come from this, can it please be that after spending years trying to isolate ourselves from our European friend and partners that a new age of mutual trust and respect can begin.

I'm not talking about rejoining the EU simply hoping that a sad event that had brought kind words from around the world can be built upon and that the post-EU era of modern Britain is led by grown ups, being respectful and friendly to one another.

But nations all over the world trying to outdo each other with queen/uk struff is the geo political equivalent of social media ’likes’.
I’m old enough to remember when we clapped because we cherished our NHS colleagues.
Covid over (?), a 1% pay rise and we all shrug our shoulders and move on to Ukraine.
