This is how to make a cup of tea

The correct order for making (hot British, as she calls it) tea:
1. Put the teabag in the mug and boil kettle
2. Put the boiling water into the mug - then prod the tea bag with a teaspoon to get the brewing going
3. After three minutes, remove the teabag from the mug
4. Add the milk and stir. Enjoy.

Any differentiation from this order is crazy and borderline psychotic.

Where I live we have hard water. Therefore milk goes in FIRST. Otherwise you get all scum floating round on top [FACT]

I know it sounds daft, but with soft water in the north UK it's different and you can put milk in last.

Interesting. I hadn't considered the hard/ soft water conundrum.
 
the correct way, i put a 1/4 teaspoon full of loose tea in a strainer pour on boiling water to nearly the top after 1 minute remove strainer aadd semi skimmed milk sparingly.
