This is how to make a cup of tea

That cannot be serious. She had to be a spoof character, surely?
Having said that, I worked with a lovely guy from the Philippines who had no idea what tea even was. He was doing a round of drinks at work and a VIP asked for a cup of tea so this guy got a tea bag, put it in a cup of cold water and handed it to him.
I got in trouble for ******* myself. Luckily the VIP saw the funny side.
 
My wife got a lot of stick for this yesterday, she has issued an apology on behalf of Americans

it's funny though, even though my mother in law loves to drink tea, they just don't know how to make it over there. She doesn't have a kettle for a start so boils the water in a pan (she calls it tea water) chucks a tea bag in then pours it into a cup which already has milk in. It drives me absolutely potty
 
I drink my tea each day without milk and sugar in a glass mug..... sorry to say Liptons bags..... every cup I make is a cup that cheers
